IN THIS NEWSLETTER:

Greetings to all "notees", and special thanks to all those who came to the May Club Night.

This month had a 70's feel, as most but not quite all, songs came from that decade. Admittedly, John Gracie's two pieces came from the 1570's, but who's counting...

Also from the 70's was this month's quiz, specially designed to allow the over-40-somethings to have an advantage over our enthusiastic teenage contingent. And it was indeed a team of the former who got 9 out of 10! However, very well done to those not even born for 2 more decades but still got very respectible scores.

This month was unusual in that it featured nearly as many open-mic contributions as planned, but as ever we had a full and eclectic mix of recognisable and  as-yet-unidentified popular music.

Next Month

The next club night is 21st June at 7:30pm at the Angel Hotel. To help choose the theme for the evening, the website is running an online poll. Click here to make your own choice.

HYDRA - A party of "notees" made their way last Saturday to Goostrey to hear Peter Kearton's band, playing a mix of ear-splittingly good rock music. For those who missed it, they have been invited back, so look out for dates on the website. If you did go, email your reviews for the website.
